To install PC software follow the steps below. A list of available software can be found online at http://www.hss.rpi.edu/intranet/available_software.asp. You must have the K2 Client key serve client installed on your computer to use HSS software licenses, the directions below include this step.

1. If you are off campus you must first connect to the campus VPN. Directions on how to do this can be found at the VPN help desk page.
2. Connect to the file server share \\human101.hss-win.rpi.edu\software. Directions on how to connect to a file server share can be found at http://www.hss.rpi.edu/intranet/doc/user/hss_servers.pdf.
3. Select the folder named PC. This folder contains command files that when double clicked will walk you through the install process of a particular application.
4. You need to first install the program K2 Client by double clicking k2client_install . This will install the license manager software on your computer. If you receive a message stating that "Another version of this product is already installed.." you can click OK and continue with the next step
   1. Double click the k2client_install install Icon
   2. A window similar to the image below should open
      
   3. Enter ls.hss-win.rpi.edu into the Host DNS Name or IP address field
   4. Make sure that TCP/IP is selected as the Protocol , then click the Next button
   5. Click the Next button again
   6. Click the Install button
   7. Click the Finish button. You are now ready to install your application
      
5. To install the desired application click the Install script that corresponds to it. You will not have access to install all applications. The software list at http://www.hss.rpi.edu/intranet/available_software.asp identifies what software you should be able to access.
